Vinayak Shinde is an Associate Professor of the Computer Engineering Department at Shree L. R. Tiwari College of Engineering, Mira Road, Thane, Maharashtra, India (affiliated with the University of Mumbai, and accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education). He served as a Head of Department (Computer Engineering) in SLRTCE from 2013 to 2020. He has done Ph.D in Computer Science and Engineering from JJTU, Rajasthan (2014-2016) and M.Tech in Computer Science from Berhampur University, Odisha (2010-2012) and Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from the University of Mumbai, Maharashtra (1997-2000), diploma in Computer Technology from MSBTE, Maharashtra (1994-1997). He has organized conferences, special sessions at international conferences served and delivered as session chair.
He has published 5 books including "Architecting of IoT" and "Internet of Everything". He is an approved teacher from the University of Mumbai for UG and PPG courses in Computer Engineering as well as an approved guide/supervisor for the PhD programme at JJT University. He has more than 21 years of experience teaching in the field of Computer Engineering. More than 16 students have completed their Post-Graduation under her valuable guidance, successfully guided 1 research scholar and presently 5 PhD research scholars are pursuing their PhD at JJT University. He has authored more than 70 research papers in reputed conferences and journals including Web of Science and Scopus and is associated with various international journals as a reviewer and editorial board member.
He has served as a judge in various national and international project competitions including Avishkar Research Convention 2020-21 organized by the University of Mumbai. He is also working as a consultant for a number of software companies. He delivered many technological sessions as a speaker. His research areas include the Internet of Things, information retrieval, cloud computing technology, data mining, computer networks, and Data analytics. He was a recipient of the: Best Research and Publication Award for Academic Year 2017-18, 2018-19, 2019-20, 2020-21 and Distinguished Teaching Award for Academic Year 2013-2014 from SLRTCE, Thane.
