Dr. Rajesh Kumar Maurya is a senior academician, researcher, and author with more than 23 years of experience in computer science education, research, and academic administration. He is currently an Senior Faculty at the NMIMS School of Mathematics, Applied Statistics & Analytics (NSoMASA), Mumbai, and a Ph.D. research guide in Data Science. Dr. Maurya holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and a broad academic foundation including M.Tech (CSE), M.Phil (IT), MCA, MBA (Information Systems), and M.Sc (CS). His expertise spans Machine and Deep Learning, Generative AI, Cybersecurity, Spatial Analytics, and Digital Forensics.
Previously, he held several leadership roles, notably serving as Associate Professor and Associate Dean at DES’s Navinchandra Mehta Institute of Technology & Development, and as IT Administrator and Course Coordinator at S.K. Somaiya College. These roles reflect his commitment to shaping institutional growth and fostering learning environments. He has authored over 20 books with publishers such as Wiley and Dreamtech Press, covering topics from programming and compiler design to AI, cybersecurity, and digital literacy. He is a contributing member on Boards of Studies in multiple universities and plays a key role in curriculum development since 2005 to curriculum under NEP 2020 reforms.
In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Maurya serves as a technical consultant to IT firms and government agencies, including the Directorate of Forensic Science Laboratories, Government of Maharashtra. He is frequently invited as a resource person for Faculty Development Programs (FDPs), refresher courses, and national workshops on cybersecurity, AI, and data science. His involvement bridges the gap between theoretical instruction and practical, real-world application.
